Carrier Sales Manager

At Zerobroker, we are transforming the $800 billion US trucking industry and making freight shipping broker-free. We are looking for a Carrier Sales Manager with strong communication and organization skills to join our Operations team. 

The Carrier Sales Manager is a key contributor to acquiring new carrier partners, building relationships with them and committing our customers' lanes to move their goods more efficiently. In addition, you will help build the live load operations team from scratch by rolling up your sleeves, implementing scalable processes and procedures, and hiring and growing an all-star team. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who wants to work in a fast-paced startup environment. You will report directly to the CEO/Head of Ops. 

What you will do:

  • Set up and oversee load coverage operations

  • Help grow and manage the load coverage team

  • Manage new carrier onboarding

  • Compile market data on pricing and trends

  • Expand our network or carriers by cold calling and emailing 

  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with carriers

  • Determine carrier availability, assign, manage, and monitor carrier performance 

  • Work with carrier partners to continually seek new solutions for their logistics challenges

  • Always think about how to do things better, faster, more efficiently and a fair cost

  • Identify and solve operational issues

  • Be able to track core operational and growth metrics to share with the management team

  • Develop process and system improvements to continually raise the bar of execution

  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to maximize efficiency and to provide white glove customer service. 



We are looking someone with:


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (is a big plus)

  • 4+ years in a tech enabled transportation company

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills

  • Extremely collaborative with the ability to work well with all teams

  • Organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience in phone sales 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience building and managing an all-star team


This role is a hybrid role. We will be building the office and team around your location.
