As our first head of business development, you’ll focus on helping to build our customers based.
You are a proven and experienced account management leader in a high growth and fast paced environment. You have a proven track record or can prove to build customers based from scratch, and building long-term strategic relationships with them. You have the entrepreneurial instinct and can help the CEO and the product team to identify the patterns and understand where to pivot. You can recruit, hire, and coach people in your organization to become incredible account managers. You hold your team to high standards and are passionate about people development. You are tech savvy and also work well across an organization, forming strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including operations, marketing, product, and finance.
You will dig in with prospective customers to learn about their challenges, opportunities, perspectives, and priorities.
Develop a deep understanding of Zerobroker- our offerings and competitive positioning, and play a key role in establishing and nurturing long term partnerships with enterprise customers.
Be a critical member of the revenue organization’s leadership and influence our story / value proposition, go-to-market strategy and offerings.
Hiring, coaching and challenging a team of incredible account managers to achieve ambitious goals, while nurturing longer-term career goals.
Develop and execute data-driven sales processes (e.g. pipeline management and forecasting discipline)
Develop strong advocacy with key internal partner teams such as Legal, Finance and Product to accelerate growth velocity and margin.
We are looking someone with:
5+ years of account management, business development, sales or customer success experience in the tech industry or transportation/supply chain industry (e.g. managing and building teams, demonstrated success in growing client revenue and customer satisfaction)
Experience managing high performing account management teams, including managers who have grown Fortune 2000 companies.
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and influencing decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to positively impact and influence; superior peer relationship skills.
